February was an amazing month here at Boundless Vancouver. Our multicultural cooking classes are kicked into high gear with our 3rd and 4th class coming. BRAVE Together 2022 was successfully held on March 5th all thanks to your support!

JOIN OUR 3rd & 4th
MULTICULTURAL COOKING CLASS!

We are organizing our 3rd and 4th multicultural cooking class to welcome neighbours of diverse cultural backgrounds into a community of hope and joy! Heartfelt thanks to our guest chef, Sania from Pakistan (for the 3rd class) and Marwa from Syria (for the 4th class) to teach us how to make a very popular dish in their home countries! You are all invited to enrol in our cooking class for fun and sharing. We will enjoy music, cook and chat together at Boundless Vancouver! Details are as follows:

3rd Cooking Class on Mar 28th 2022
Date: March 28th 2022 (Monday)
Time: 11 a.m. to 1p.m.
Place: 3213 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC, V5V 4B8
Class Fee: CAD$8 per person (One dish with all ingredients included!)
Enrolment Deadline: March 21st 2022 (Monday)
Dish: Chicken Biryani
Remarks: As we have to prepare the ingredients prior to the date of the cooking class, your seat will only be secured once the payment is confirmed. Thanks a lot for your understanding.

4th Cooking Class on Apr 4th 2022
Date: Apr 4th 2022 (Monday)
Time: 11 a.m. to 1:30p.m.
Place: 3213 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC, V5V 4B8
Class Fee: CAD$12 per person (One main dish and an appetizer with all ingredients included!)
Enrolment Deadline: March 28th 2022 (Monday)
Dish: Chicken Shawermah and Tabboleh
Remarks: As we have to prepare the ingredients prior to the date of the cooking class, your seat will only be secured once the payment is confirmed. Thanks a lot for your understanding.

SOME GREAT MOMENTS OF THE FIRST & SECOND COOKING CLASSES

Many thanks to our neighbours' support. Our 1st and 2nd multicultural cooking class is a HUGE success!! While our volunteers and neighbours were having so much fun and enjoying food and music together, they were also able to learn more about the food culture from our guest chefs and get some really useful nutrition tips from our food coordinator, Pamela! Brave Together 2022

The annual Brave Together Event was successfully held on March 5th! It was such a great success! The whole Salvation Army Boundless Vancouver team was so excited to prepare the gift boxes for our lovely girls! Learn more about Brave https://byvr.life/brave !

We are now recruiting volunteers for our Nourishing Hope Marketplace Program. Your participation definitely means a lot to us! Details are as follows:

Campaign: Nourishing Hope Marketplace Program - It is an appointment-based food program which allows neighbours to choose the food they receive that suits their dietary restrictions and needs. This program is made possible by the wide range of food and grocery items generously donated by our community partners.

Volunteer jobs: Packing and Sorting Volunteers
No. of openings: 8
Description of volunteer jobs:
- help pack and sort food for the food programme
- interact with and greet neighbours in a safe and friendly manner
- provide neighbours with food
- lifting, handling or carrying food may be required
- communicate closely with our food coordinator to assist in giving food out
Volunteer shifts:
Shift (1) : Every Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 am
Shift (2) : Every Thursday morning from 8:30 - 10:30 am
Shift (3) : Every Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 - 10:30 am
